Contact lenses and wearing glasses is only a temporary fixation for eyesight, but this later on makes the eye in getting lazier and weaker with time. Do everything that helps in strengthening the eyes by having a well balanced diet rich in minerals and vitamins and exercise as well.

Focusing your gaze on the nose tip without blinking and remaining the same for some time helps the eye in relaxing. The area between the eyebrows above the nose is known as the “third eye”. Focus on the third eye without blinking and then close your eyes to relax. This may be hard or uncomfortable to do for the first time, but focus and time makes it easier for doing this posture.

Focus on your left shoulder with both the eyes without turning the head. Do this as long as you can, then relax by closing the eyes. Repeat the same sequence with the right shoulder. After finishing, rest for as much time you need by placing the palms on the closed eyes.

Lie on the back, facing up. Be in a position such that the palms face the ceiling and the legs are apart by shoulder width. You can also do this exercise comfortably even by sitting in an office chair. Close your eyes, breathe inside your belly, and feel the stomach as it expands and fills with air. Continue this for a few minutes and then open your eyes. Look at any certain object. Close your eyes and continue the same, which helps in the relaxation of the eyes. This exercise helps in balancing the mental focus with imagination.
